I have some new insight about the upcoming Road to California quilt show and wanted to share.
There are still a few classes and lectures that have openings. For instance:
Monday, January 11th
Jamie Wallen is teaching “Mystical Cotton Tracks 2”, for Long Arm Quilters (not a beginner class).
Tuesday, Jamie Wallen is teaching a “Thread Fusion” class.
Thursday, January 14th, Superior Threads is having a class “Texture Magic Tote”.
Saturday, January 16th, Bob Appell will be teaching a fun class called “Go Wild”.
Saturday, January 16th, Alex Anderson, from Simply Quilts is having an evening lecture.
Sunday, January 17th, Paula Reid is teaching a Trapunto by Machine class.
Sunday, January 17th, Virginia Walton will be teaching Wedge Frenzie.
Sunday, January 17th Mary Ellen Hopkins is holding a fun lecture “Wear Your Big Girl Panties”. This lecture is only $5. As you never know if you’ll be this lucky again, so I highly recommend you sign up for this lecture and enjoy the fun, while resting your feet!
But check out the Registration page on the Road to California website for a more current and complete list of open classes & lectures. And many of the lectures have openings, and also give you a chance to put your feet up and relax!
I also have heard that there is going to be a Sale-abration on Sunday. Vendors will be putting a “few” items on sale. And there will be fun raffles!
Road also has a special exhibit this year. They will be showing 20 quilts all quilted by different longarm quilters who were invited to participate in this challenge. You will not want to miss this exhibit.

SewCalGal also believes that a trip to the Road To California quilt show or a class at Road would make a great gift. So, feel free to share this with the Santa in your life if you want to drop a hint.
